All in Engagements

Two cultures, one love | An engagement session in the city where they will marry | Nashville engagement photographer | Darien Photography

Engagement sessions are one way to meet with your wedding photographer and have a chance to be in front of the camera before your big day. You can use the photos for a save the date announcement, or print a few photos. For this couple’s session we met at Percy Warner Par Allée, a landmark in Nashville. The stone steps there have been recently restored and they are a perfect backdrop for timeless portraits. I love shooting here because of the versatility of the landscape, and how easy it is for me to get different angles without having to move locations. Dive in to the blog post to see the images!

Nashville Winter Engagement Session | Narrows of the Harpeth | Darien Photography

I am so glad Lisa found me while searching in Google for a Nashville wedding photographer! When she hired me to be their photographer, I invited them to join us for a mini-session event I was about to host for Valentine’s Day “Love is in the air” at a modern farm house on Narrows of the Harpeth. They came to have some portraits taken, and I wished Miller and I had booked the house for longer, because we had to cut our conversation short to clean up before closing. It was a very cold winter day, our hands were purple after the quick session outdoors, but we had a great time and we had some wine, Valentine cookies, and a lively conversation.

Allison + Saxon Engagement | Percy Warner Park | Nashville Engagement Photographer | Darien Photography

A sweet winter engagement at Nashville’s Percy Warner Park. The couple met in elementary school and they are now studying at UTK. I am so thrilled to be able to document for them the first chapter of their lives as adults together. What began as a kid friendship is now growing into the greatest adventure of a lifetime.
